Kiyoko KANKI, Prof. Dr. of Kyoto University, Department of Architecture,
graduated from the same laboratory with Ibu Sita.
Specially, working for Rural and Urban planning and participatory
design, and specialist for cultural landscape conservation with local
community.
In Japan KANKI was Academic member for
– World Heritage nomination of “Sacred sites and pilgrimage routes in
Kii mountain range”. This is the first cultural landscape world heritage
in Japan.
– National designation of conservation area of “Kii-Yuasa preservation
area of historic buildings” “Hinenosho Cultural landscape evolved from
medieval village” “Terraced field and fishing village in Yusu Mizugaura,
Ehime”
And participated in many conservation activity in Kyoto, by mainly
collaborating with the local community in “Nishijin”, Katsurazaka
housing area”, “Fukakusa Fushimi”, etc.
Since 2003, participated in Borobudur field school, and I really studied
much about International field school. After that, participating in Bali
Field School by BPPI, Jakarta by RUJAK, as well as in Japan and Germany
with TU Dortmund.
